Sunflowers in Solidarity with Ukraine

Horrified by the suffering of the people of Ukraine following Russia’s brutal invasion, SSIB volunteers decided to show their solidarity with the people of Ukraine by combining with The Patch, Milton Keynes, to sow sunflowers in prominent places around the town, and to encourage residents and children to do the same. Volunteers sowed seeds at home and these were planted in the Wolverton Rd Rec along the fence, and on parts of London Rd by the allotments fence. Some of the seedlings were given to residents for a donation – and SSIB was able to donate over £60 to the Red Cross Ukraine Appeal.
