Calcutta Brasserie Fundraiser: What a Fabulous Banquet! What a Fantastic Total!

On November 7th Stony in Bloom organised a fundraiser at Calcutta Brasserie. As always, Calcutta Brasserie did us proud – producing a mouth-watering banquet – and giving us £5 for every £20 ticket sold. We also had a raffle, with lots of wonderful prizes to be won. Residents from The Mill Apartments donated two spectacular boxes of goodies; H Green, the Butcher donated a £10 Meat Token; Back-to-the Fuchsia donated a magnificent bouquet; the Fruit and Veg stall at the Saturday Timor Court Market donated a £10 token; and a number of SSIB volunteers donated other sundry prizes.

From the ticket sales, raffle and donations Stony in Bloom made the fantastic total of £1,000 (the last £11 made up to the nice round number by a kind Stony in Bloom volunteer.)

And most importantly – everyone said what an enjoyable evening they’d had!
