A Delicious Fund-Raising Banquet at Calcutta Brasserie!

On November 4th just short of 100 Stony in Bloom well-wishers gathered at Calcutta Brasserie for the annual Stony in Bloom fund-raiser. We were treated to a mouth-watering 3-course banquet served by the friendly staff. The restaurant gives Stony in Bloom £ 5 for each ticket sold, and with proceeds from ticket sales and the magnificent raffle (it needed two tables to hold them all!) – we made the tremendous sum of £895. Many thanks to Calcutta Brasserie for providing this beautiful venue and the money for SSIB from the ticket sales, and to Jean Morley and friends for all the raffle hampers, Back-to-the-Fuchsia for the stunning bouquet, and Kimberley Salads and Brittons Nursery at Timor Court Saturday Market for their contributions to the raffle too. Everyone said how much they’d enjoyed the event – and Stony in Bloom has that wonderful total for spending on keeping the town looking beautiful!
